Sprite von Speicher is a gorgeous 4 year old male German Shepherd who turns heads wherever he goes. On walks, people stop, stare and even come up just to say “hi.” If he could, he would give them his autograph. Sprite is high energy and working on his leash training, since he occasionally forgets that there is someone at the other end of the leash. He meets and greets people amicably and is clearly happiest when he is with his people. He is pushy when meeting other dogs but eventually calms down and walks well next to them. This gentle giant takes treats calmly and gives kisses galore; he will even rest his head in your lap or rub up against you in the most endearing manner! An enthusiastic, dominant boy, Sprite loves hiking but his favorite activity in the world is fetching tennis balls. He responds to commands quickly and really wants to please. At the vet’s office, he was a hit with the staff and was uninterested in some little dogs in the waiting room. In playgroups, he does well with our submissive dogs. Eventually he will opt to withdraw from the pack and return to hang out with you. We are all in love with Sprite and can’t wait for you to meet him too.
